Come join us for Ask A Native, our relaxed, interactive event series where you get to chat directly with a native Japanese speaker. Every session features a new guest from Japan - artists, creatives, teachers, entrepreneurs, or everyday locals - who bring their own stories, insights and regional flavor.
🎤 We keep it casual but real: Ask questions in Japanese or English, listen in on live cultural insights and hear how Japanese is used in real life - not just in textbooks.
✨ What to expect:
A short bilingual guest intro led by @KiaraNYCjp
Open conversation & casual Q&A
Bite-sized cultural/language takeaways
Supportive atmosphere (great for learners at any level)
No pressure to speak - come to observe or join the convo!
🎶 This Week’s Guest: Junko from O-live is a lyricist, composer and producer based in New York City. This is your chance to connect directly with a native Japanese artist, ask music-related questions, and practice real Japanese - no textbooks, no pressure, but sheet music is welcome lol.
🎟️ Tickets are limited to keep things interactive and a portion of the costs will go to our special guests to thank them for their knowledge, time and patience.
(Refunds: Eventbrite charges a non-refundable fee for every ticket sold. Attendees cancelling 24 hours or more before the event will get a refund for the cost of their ticket minus the ticketing fee. Thank you for your understanding!)
